Charity Walks

A very interesting point. We don't use GPS so we only go on 6 figure grids and compass bearings. However, every walk we've bought seems to have 10 - 12 figure grids so it will have to be something that we consider having as well. Once again - the advice that I've received so far has been extremely h...

Charity Walks

Hello, Michelle and I both work at a secondary school and are involved in the Ten Tors teams. One of my responsibilities in the team is fundraising so I'm looking at putting out a letterbox walk. I'm going to make the stamps myself and use the walk as a navigation activity for the hopefuls. As I've ...

Although boxes are listed as 'missing', I still like to look for them to confirm that they're definitely gone as opposed to someone else just not finding them; we've found quite a few boxes that are meant to have vanished. I make sure that Malcolm is informed of any boxes ...

The Return of Pub Dog

I started letterboxing with my parents back in the late 80s/early 90s. Back then we had to try and find the first 100 boxes without clues and, although my dad had a friend who did quite a lot of letterboxing, we still found it incredibly hard. However, one of our initial trips around Haytor and Smal...

Missing/Damaged Boxes Higher White Tor

Hello, We went up to Higher White, Lower White and Crow Tor last weekend. We found one box ( Moor Signs - Higher White Tor ) that had a totally disintegrated stamp. We combed the entire area and found very little. Although we aren't the greatest boxers on Earth, that's the second time that we've bee...
