How We Started Letterboxing

#1 Postby teignmouth trampers » Wed Nov 03, 2010 4:33 pm

Well in fact this is only our third day as letterboxers. We started on Monday 1st November 2010 at Postbridge, having seen the Dartmoor Guide to Letterboxing. Within two hours we were hooked. Lyn my wife and I have just moved back from living in the far south of France for 5 years, where we walked in the mountains all the time ( being retired we could do). Moving to Devon we continued walking on Dartmoor, and now know about letterboxing, we were not brave enough to go to the big meet last Sunday when we would have been letter box virgins, perhaps we will go to the next one in March. Currently we have discovered 14, so are creeping slowly towards the first hundred, any help or advice would be gratefully received. We are so new that we haven't yet got a stamp or an avator for this site, but we will given time.
