How I started...

#1 Postby Lara » Fri Mar 23, 2007 4:22 pm

In all honestly, I have only been letterboxing once. However, I had to be dragged back to the car by my boyfriend as it was getting dark...
My boyfriend's family go letterboxing when they have time, and I believe they are party of the '100 Club'. I mentioned once that I thought it would be fun...and it was! We went up to the Princetown/Devil's Elbow area and I found 3! Since then I've been itching to get back out there and have a good search! If you find a letterbox in there with writing in it from before christmas saying 'Lara's first' - it was me! :D

Hi Lara - welcome to the site - and you say you live in Yelverton? I am GREEN with envy!
I am currently stuck in London with the occasional escape back here

It is a nice place to live - and I admit that I'm very lucky, though, it is so wet at times that I need webbed feet :)

Welcome to the site Lara, letterboxing as you now know is great fun, even when the weather is a little damp. I'm sure you will soon be on your way to finding your first 100 boxes and then joining the 100 Club.

We've been twice - now have 14! :D
Bit of a shame - can't actually get to the old railway station at yelverton due to the fact that it is private property...
