Only just noticed this section of the site!
We went on a big family holiday in a cottage in Okehampton. My aunt and uncle took us out to East Mill Tor, wherei found my first ever box, which wasnt a great stamp (a winnie the pooh holding a birthday cake), but it was my grandmass birthday so it seemed even more special.
We went once the year after (1998) to the wind tor area but then we didn't go again for a long time.
Then on a school trip, we went on the moors for a day walking with a guide, and i asked if we could letterbox. He was surprised i knoew about it, but he let me have a quick poke around on feather tor where i found 5! that got me back into it, nagged at the family, and now we have started going a bit more often... _________________ 393 stamps found.......come on that 500 badge |

| Hi smartie. Letterboxing started for me when I became bored of walking around the same places with my dog. I decided I would explore the moors and recalled overhearing a conversation where people talked about Letterboxing so I looked it up on the Internet and got started. |
