ok ive got a garmin geko201 and it does the job and yes some say its cheating but i want to get a sighting compass apart from the silva 54 is there any cheaper compasses out there??.
ive got a silva type15t(the ranger) but havent got a clue on how to use it.
Any help please.

Hi

I would recommend the Silva 54, I also had a very simular compass to the Silva 15 but the 54 is much better for sighting.

Also just did a quick seach and currently you can buy a silva 54 for 49.98 on amazon - http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000OEV7EA/ref=asc_df_B000OEV7EA708905

which is not a bad price!!

I've got the Silva 54 as well and have got much better at finding and placing stamps with it. A great compass.
