I'm toying with the idea of making a series of stamps relating to Dartmoor crosses. Has this been done before? Being such an obvious choice I would actually be surprised if it hadn't been done before!
I also have an idea to do a series on ancient Dartmoor & hi-tech systems - after all, we all use fairly high technology to access this forum, not to mention the proliferation of GPS devices on the moor.
What do you think?

There was a charity walk on sale at the meet that was based on Dartmoor Crosses. However, your design would obviously be different, and everyone would sooner find a set of stamps like that than a series that has no relevance to the moor. Go for it.

So how is your stamp designing going?

FAR slower than I would've liked! In fact I'll probably only place them out in the spring.
Between three kids, a full-time job and a part-time company lately I think myself fortunate if I can get 6 hours sleep per night.
All work and no play make William a very slow stamp creator!

I feel most topics have been been covered over the years, but one idea is to create a jigsaw of stamps that I feel hasn't been covered for a while, this would contain about 12 or so stamps and all connected would give you one very big A4 picture! You could make it into some sort of board game with a snakes and ladders idea from one tor to another. :)
This way you could incorporate many different aspects of the moors from crosses, leats, blowing houses, boundstones and many more Dartmoor topics!
just an idea of course, as I've never seen a jigsaw of such containing more than one different subject.

I have found several of the Sue's Crosses Series. Very nice they are too.
I believe there was also a set named 'David's Dartmoor Crosses'. If I remember correctly, they were really great sketches of the crosses themselves. Not too disimilar to Tim Sandles excellent drawings.
