Hello folks. I was clambering around Sheepstor rocks today, but could I find the Pixies Cave, no!. Could I found Elford's hideout, no! If anyone has the exact co-ordindates for either\both of these it would be appreciated.
It was so misty today, I could'nt see the tor on approach and suddenly there it appeared about 50metres aheads of me..

ha! I remember being handed the clue for this when I first started boxing before an 11 year break. i have to this day not found it.
i was convinced it was just a mythological cave, and not really there!
if you have luck finding this, please re-post so I can try to follow in your footsteps.

There is a geocache at Elfords hideout. It has published coordinates and a spoilerphoto of the cave itself. The pixie cave is not far from it.

Top of holly at bottom of very heavy clitter = 235* x approx 10 - 20 unwalkable metres. Oak tree near bottom of very heavy clitter = 142* x very approx 30 unwalkable metres. Large holly = 291*

But that assumes that they have access to the "G" site!!!
We don't but then we have done the box/es from the Pixie Cave. :D

I have access to the "g" word site - however it is only used when I am missing the moor so I go out around my house and find some, it is nowhere near as good, but when I am 130 miles away anything goes :P

We found the cave yesterday :D :D It was quite difficult to find then you find yourself saying "How on earth do you fit in that little entrance?" But luckily we had the kids to send in first. Unfortunately the stamp is missing and the book is damp but still readible. Oh and the cave is still full of the usual crisp packets & chocolate bar wrappers - Grrrrrr! :x
But we left our piece of silver and were quite happy at ourselves for finding it.

The "g" website is mostly public and the coordinates & photo I referred to accessible by all .. I didn't want to include the coordinates or photo here in case the OP didn't want spoilers so I just hinted as to where they _can_ be found ...
