I sadly know a lot of people don't post, but do read a lot of the comments. I know, for example, there is a FB page where there are over 7000 members and yet only 35 people regularly post, the rest just read comments. We don't bite (provided we have been fed beforehand) and we would welcome interact...

This is an idea of having the forum to have a bit of a banter during the cold weather, especially those of us who are not foolhardy (or diehard) letterboxers

If that is the case, then this area will no doubt be reclassified as another Newtake area, and all boxes will need to be removed... Permanently!

I believe you can camp for one night almost anywhere on the moor, but you must be at least 50 feet or yards away from any road. And you must not leave any trace of your stay.
Personally I prefer pub campsites... less distance to stagger

There used to be over 100 boxes on Honeybags... A few of them are still there, but it might be hard to find a clue for them these days

Welcome to the site Mark and Sue. I hope you can make a few good connections with some of the others on here. I had a look at your site the other day when I processed your application... you certainly look like you are very dedicated to the art of boxing, and I hope... no... I know you will be able ...

What are the worst areas for boxes stolen/removal?

I am trying to see what the worst areas are for stolen/missing boxes as opposed to the best areas.
I know Yellowmead farm was hit hard a few years back.
And all Newtakes are supposed to be clear of boxes.
The Staple Tors have been hit by the DLT

Any other areas?

A few tips on where to site a box: Do not place in any structures as this is not allowed, and will be removed Do not place your box in a dangerous position as this too will have it removed Don't place your box in a popular area, as it is likely to go missing Do not give your box a ten figure map ref...

Here's a tip for you, if you are going to plot positions on a map with a pencil
Use a 2B pencil as it can be cleanly rubbed out
